Clan Tartan adds colour to Bob MacIntyre’s New Bag Launch

Bob MacIntyre today unveiled an eye-catching new bag at this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

With a nod to his family heritage, Bob’s bag will be wrapped in the Hunting MacIntyre tartan, and become an instantly recognisable feature whenever he takes to the course. Bob has always been extremely proud of his roots, and playing a worldwide schedule across the PGA Tour and DP World Tour where he will be carrying his family tartan on his bag is something that is very important to him.

The new design has been developed in conjunction with golf bag manufacturer Vessel, who helped make the style and format fit the day-to-day on course needs for a professional golfer, and the result has been hugely well-received.

This new look will also feature two new brand partners who will adorn the side and front panels of the tartan bag. Discovery Land Company and Elijah Craig bourbon whiskey have become brand partners with Bob as he enters just his second full season on the PGA Tour and looks to enhance his position within the world’s top 20.

Discovery Land Company is a US-based real estate developer and operator of private residential communities and resorts with a world-renowned portfolio of domestic and international properties. Discovery is currently developing and refurbishing what will be one of the world’s most exclusive and unique destinations at the historic Taymouth Castle Estate in Scotland. Situated on the banks of the River Tay in Perthshire, Taymouth Castle is being restored to reflect the grandeur that its history commands, and will sit proudly within the Discovery portfolio.

Elijah Craig is the Official Bourbon and whiskey supplier of the PGA of America. Known as the Father of Bourbon, Elijah Craig dates back to the late 1700s, and it prides itself on crafting and refining whiskey that develops using the same time-honoured methods that were initiated over 250 years ago.

Speaking in Pebble Beach, before this week’s Signature event, Bob said: “I am really excited to be working with Discovery Land Company and Elijah Craig. To be partnering with both, and to launch the new bag design, with everything that it means to me, is very special, and I’m really looking forward to teeing it up on Thursday. I know they have plans for my bag this year, and I can’t wait to see this play out over the season.”

Both Discovery Land Company and Elijah Craig plan to develop bespoke bag designs for each of the Major Championships, and in doing so, will continue to support Bob’s philanthropic work through promotional and charitable activity across each event.

A delighted Bob said: “I can’t wait to see the bag designs that are planned for the Majors, and I know that Discovery and Elijah Craig are such a good fit with my current Partners. Everything we do can have such a positive impact both in the golfing world and beyond, and that is, and always has been, so important to me.”

Having worked closely with the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation over the past few seasons, Bob will continue his relationship and support of this hugely important charity and the work they have carried out searching fora cure for MND in the name of one of Scotland’s greatest rugby players, Doddie Weir.

And, long-standing Partner, Arnold Clark who have supported Bob over the past decade ever since he turned professional, will also continue to feature on the front panel.

After launching his 2025 PGA Tour season in Hawaii, Bob starts this week’s Signature event, and the second on the west coast swing, on Thursday.
