Grant Forrest continued his strong form this season with a tie for 3rd place in the Horizon Irish Open at the K Club.
After 3 very consistent, sub-par rounds, Grant started the final day in the penultimate group, chasing down the leaders, that included home favourite and world no.2, Rory McIlroy.
On a final day interrupted by rain, Grant was not quite able to do enough to catch tournament winner, Sweden’s Vincent Norrman, however his 2-under par final round was still enough for a share of 3rd place.
This result, following his 11th pace finish in the recent Rolex Series event, the Genesis Scottish Open, moves Grant up 15 places to sit at no.23 on the Race to Dubai.
Calum Hill wasn’t quite able to follow up his superb, 7-under par second round 65, and lost touch with the leaders on the final day to finish just outside the top 20.
Both Grant and Calum head to Wentworth now for the DP World Tour's headline event, the BMW PGA Championship.
