Stephen Gallacher posted 4 sub-par rounds in the PGA Tour Champions Qualifying School at Soboba Springs in California to successfully navigate his way through to the Final Stage.
With rounds of 67, 68 & 70, Stephen led the field after 54 holes, however a final round 70 saw him finish with a score of 13 under par which was just one shot behind the Stage winner, Australia’s Mathew Goggin.
This second place finish ensured he was one of 16 players from Soboba going forward to the Final Stage.
The Final Stage will take at TPS Scottsdale on the Champions Course from the 3rd-6th December. At Scottsdale, 51 players will fight it out for 5 PGA Tour Champions cards for the 2025 season.
Having just turned 50 at the start of November, Stephen, a 4-time winner on the DP World Tour and a member of the 2014 European Ryder Cup team, is still very competitive and ambitious, and is looking to continue his hugely, successful career onto the Seniors tour. Now, having returned home following the First Stage, Stephen will use this week to prepare himself for the Final Stage, before flying out to Arizona next weekend.
