Although bowing out to in-form, Frenchman, Victor Perez, in the last 16 of the WGC Dell Match Play at Austin, Texas, it was another very impressive performance from Bob MacIntyre.
Drawn in a group that included World number 1, Dustin Johnson, Kevin Na and Adam Long, it was always going to be difficult to progress. However, a 2&1 win over World number 30, Na, followed up by halves with Johnson and Long, saw Bob top the group and move onto the last 16.
There, he ran into Victor Perez, who ended his run of good form with a 5&4 win.
This result, however, continues Bob's rise up the world rankings and cements his goal to play in the first Major of the year at Augusta in two weeks time.
