Successful FedEx finale for Bob MacIntyre

Bob MacIntyre signed off his first full season as a PGA Tour player with a stunning 7-under par final round at the Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta.

The round, which included 8 birdies from the final 13 holes, lifted Bob up to a tie for 17th place on the final standings for the 2024 FedEx Cup. This result was even more significant given that Bob had to undergo daily physiotherapy all through the event, for a back injury he sustained at the BMW Championship the previous week.

Bob’s performance at East Lake was the culmination of a quite superb, first year with a PGA Tour card. Playing in 25 PGA Tour events, Bob finished in the top 10 on 6 occasions and won 2 titles – the RBC Canadian Open, and the Genesis Scottish Open. In addition to finishing 17th on the FedEx Cup, Bob also moved into the world’s top 20 on the OWGR.

Having moved across to base himself in Orlando at the start of the year, Bob has firmly established himself on the PGA Tour, and now looks forward to several key events back on the DP World Tour for the remainder of 2025.

His next event will be the Amgen Irish Open at Royal County Down, followed by the flagship event of the DP World Tour season – the PGA Championship at Wentworth. He will then play in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship before bringing 2024 to a close at the DP World Tour Final Series in the UAE in November.

With 2025 Ryder Cup points to play for in all of these events, there is still a lot for Bob to achieve in what has already been a very exciting and successful year.
