Lorna McClymont

LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR
age: 24
attachment: Kingsbarns

During the past two seasons, Lorna has won no less than 10 times as an amateur.

These victories included headline national tiles across the UK, where she won the 2023 Irish Women’s Open Stroke Play Championship, the 2023 Welsh Women’s Stroke Play Championship and the 2024 Scottish Women’s Amateur Championship.

Then, in 2024,she just failed to emulate fellow Scot, Louise Duncan, when she finished runner-up to American Melanie Green in the The Women’s Amateur Championship.

Lorna’s victories in these events, together with her outstanding results in the 2024 Curtis Cup signal that she has a game and mindset that helps her to perform well on the biggest stages.

Lorna’s first test in the professional ranks came at the 2024 Ladies European Tour Qualifying School where she narrowly missed out on securing a full Tour card. However, her tie for 33rd place was the catalyst to turn professional.

At the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco, Lorna’s first event as a professional, she made the cut, and now looks to build on this and secure her playing rights on the Ladies European Tour.

Off the course, Lorna is a graduate of the University of Stirling, where she completed a Sports Science degree in 2024.
